Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What’s your doctrinal basis? Where are you guys coming from? Answer: Jesus never wished to create thousands of different beliefs. He created ONE “universal” church made up of those who follow His easily understood teachings. We believe that people today can understand these teachings, can simply be “Christians” and not have to wear any other institutional name. Click here to learn more.
Q: Who writes and presents your videos? Answer: These are written, presented and recorded by our members, under the oversight of our elders. Our topics are often based upon suggestions and questions that we receive and from our own insights during personal or group Bible studies.
Q: Which version of the Bible do you usually quote from in your videos? Answer: It varies. Usually it’s the New King James Version or the English Standard Version. We have found these to be accurate as well as easily understood.
Q: You seem to be quoting mostly from the New Testament, and rarely from the New Testament. Why is that? Answer: Great question. The Old Testament is just that– the old. According to the New Testament, that old book has been replaced by the new. Colossians 2:14 says that the old law was “nailed to the cross.” For some additional reading, the books of Galatians and Hebrews were written specifically to explain in more detail. For example, Galatians calls the old law “a tutor (some translations say “schoolmaster”) who brings us to Christ.” (Galatians 3:24) But fear not– we have some videos planned on Old Testament subjects, too. Q: Do you have any longer-running videos planned that might provide more details than what you cover in just 2-4 minutes? Answer: Yes. We plan to spin up a page on this site with some longer topic videos, probably in the 10-15 minute range.
Q: Curious about your setup and equipment that you use. Answer: We actually record and provide basic edits using an Apple iPad, and we provide some other basic edits using a Windows-based PC. It’s a basic setup. We record many of our videos outdoors in local settings, but try to have some fun such as the videos we’ve shot out at the local airport. We hope you like the mix.
Q: I noticed that you aren’t hosting your videos on YouTube, but are using someone I never heard of. Why is that? Answer: We created and posted our first 25 videos on a YouTube channel that we had created in September 2022, but apparently our “read the Bible for yourself” message was a little too controversial for their liking! They deleted our entire channel without explanation other than leaving a message stating that they had “removed the account for violations of Google Terms of Service”. Fortunately we found a great replacement in Bitchute.com, which has an excellent reputation for allowing conservative religious views.
Q: Do you guys have a church assembly that I can visit? Answer: Sure thing.
Q: Do you guys take suggestions for future videos, or answer questions? Answer: ABSOLUTELY! Love to hear from you. Visit our About Us page and look for our contact information at the bottom of the page.
